Somehow the snow is a little like Christmas. We can expect it. We can listen to the television weather and expect it. But still, when it comes it’s like a gift a wonderful unwrapped gift, because itis the wrapping.

The Kiwanis Club of Emmett received baby diapers from the The Idaho Diaper Bank, a community-based not-for-profit organization that distributes diapers to babies living in low-wage families throughout Idaho. The diapers will be distributed in Emmett to WIC and other outlets.

The Substation Road bridge project is moving forward. Last week, the Knife River Construction company set the bridge structure and is preparing to pour wing walls while continuing with the backfill. All concrete work associated with the project will be complete once the wing walls are poured…

Large bands feed in the valley and hills

The time appears to have come for fans of horse racing, and the entire lifestyle of horse breeding to mount up and show their mettle.  The Gem County Fair Grounds has announced that it is preparing for a spring racing season this year and I can't wait.

I have heard a number of folks refer to the 2015 Emmett High football season as a dream come true. For many of them that is exactly what it was. But like most dreams, it didn’t happen just out of the blue. Not even Huskie Blue.
