The Firebird Raceway season concluded last month with Emmett drivers taking home a season championship and two titles in the season-ending Fall Championship Races.

Ryan Resinkin successfully defended his points title in the Wayne's Transmissions Street Truck series. Resinkin edged out Richard Rush by 20 points to claim his third straight championship and fifth in seven years in his 1972 Chevy El Camino,.

Former Firebird junior champion Amanda Luckow completed her first season in the United Dairyman High School Series with a victory in the final high school number two race of the season. Luckow drove her 5.0 liter Mustang to an 11th place finish in the final points standings and helped the Huskies earn a third in the final team standings.

In the Moffitt and Bratton Outlaw Street Series, Debbie Phillips drove her Chevy Nova to the Pepsi Winner's Circle in the final 2011 race of that series. Phillips attended five of the nine races this season and earned 63 points, good enough for a 14th place finish in the final points standings.


Davis takes second at Meridian Speedway series

Emmett's Chance Davis completed a successful season at Meridian Speedway with a second place finish in the junior stinger season points standings. Consistency paid off for Davis who collected several top-five finishes this year and drove to victory lane in the season finale last month. Davis finished the points battle 104 points behind series champion Cody Garrett of Boise.
